Nintendo President Satoru Iwata’s Wii.com Wii Fit interview series has continued into its second and third parts over the past few days, so you’ll want to go catch up on those if you haven’t read them already. In Volume 2: The Wii Balance Board, Iwata chats with the two key figures behind the development of the Wii Balance Board peripheral that comes bundled with Wii Fit, while in Volume 3: The Wii Fit Software sits down with the two guys who led the way on the software development end of the project. Key points? Well, for one, Wii Fit began life as a sort of diet/health planner for the DS before the Balance Board came about. Plus, the concept behind the Balance Board was actually inspired by how sumo wrestlers have to weigh themselves on two side-by-side scales.
