The GRAW Chapter 2 upgrade for the original GRAW takes up 725MB. This is a valid point for needing more hard drive space, as the many content updates can take up quite a bit of room on your hard drive over time. And regardless of anything…I don’t feel like installing stuff a second time.

The Castlevania: Symphony of the Night arcade download is, what, 100MB? Hey, I want all the arcade games I can get, as a lot of that stuff is sweet. Plus, if they start translating more disc based stuff…then we’ll see a lot of those games that people want to put on their 360. Sure, you can uninstall and reinstall without having to buy them again (as far as I know, I’ve only gotten Bankshot Billiards 2 on the ones at work)…but 10 Castlevania’s = 1 GB, and if there are 10 that are as pimptacular as SOTN, then I can guarantee a 20gig HD for me would be filled up QUICK.

Then you have the extra content: movies and music. I like my music, and I don’t feel like setting up the stupid Windows Media Center crap to get to it. I’ll just put it directly on the hard drive, thank you very much (then again, I’m a 360 nub, so I don’t even know if you can do that). Therefore, that’s 4MB per song at LEAST (and about 8-13MB each song if I do all the Tool CDs like I’d want)…so an entire album can be anywhere from half to an entire gig on its own.

So, by the time that I’d get a 20GB version out of the box and hooked up, I’d probably end up taking that whole 20GB down in about two days time. Oh…and you might also want to check out some profiles sometime…we’ve got a profile right now that takes up more than a MB worth a space!!! So, all the pennies turn into dollars, ya know?

Plus…I want the HDMI port, and I want the black one. I always liked the PS2 color, and this Elite 360 looks nicer than that did!!! I think the bundle could’ve been made sweeter if they had thrown in a liquid cooling system and a quieter fan, but I deal with the noise of the slim-line PS2…I can handle this one.

And I haven’t gotten to check out Robo Blitz yet, but I’ve got the OXM disc #68, which has that, Contra, Ms. Pac-Man, Assault Heroes, and Novadrome on it…and man, Assault Heroes sure takes me back to the good ol’ days…damn fun game indeed.

The larger HD is nice and all, but I’m with you Zach, I don’t even come close to filling up the current HD, and what is it, like 10-20 GB? 120 GB is needed for PC gaming these as like a minimum, but for console gaming it’s way overkill unless you’re into serious modding and stuff like that. But hey, upgrades are always good so I can’t complain. I just don’t think anyone who already has a 360 needs to feel like they’re missing out on anything by adopting early – I have no urge to ever get one, unless my current system breaks down again (piece of shit lol).

I mean, I’ve only downloaded HD content once and that was the free South Park episode last week. Other than that I may download a few demos, but delete them soon after they’ve worn out their welcome.

So many people are pissed because of the 120 GB hard drive. I’m sorry…I just couldn’t ever buy into anything less being sufficient. THIS is the real launch of the 360, and a bit of a testament as to how the 360 will have staying power…through various upgrades!
