Capcom Launches Okamiart.com

The first thing that has and always will stand out about Okami is it’s unbelievably beautiful art design. Simply put, no game can match the elegant, distinctive, eye-popping visual stylings of Capcom’s modern-day gaming classic. As sort of a thank you gesture to all the diehard Okami fans and in anticipation of the forthcoming Wii version — shipping April 15th — Capcom has launched Okamiart.com, a new website dedicated to sharing and celebrating the game’s artistic beauty.

Currently, the site has a gallery of thousands upon thousands of original illustrations to thumb through, a stunning collection of wallpapers to download and decorate your desktop with, and even a fan art section for adoring Okami faithful to submit their own artistic compositions for a chance to be showcased (there are some fan art contests coming up too). If flipping through galleries on a web page just isn’t enough, you’ll also find a link to purchase an official Okami art book Capcom has put together with Udon. It’ll be coming out in May for $39.99.
