Chicago Tribune publication RedEye is hosting a fun little “Best Video Game Ever” online tournament for those of you who like to get into those feisty “this game is better than that game” and “this character would kick that character’s ass” debates. The tourney consists of 32 combatants divided into two regions of 16: an old school region and a new school region. Voting for the first round is underway now through Friday, with some early heavyweight match-ups including Metal Gear Solid vs. GTA III, Tetris vs. Contra, and GoldenEye vs. Halo. Of course, like with any of these “Best Game Ever” lists there are plenty of debatable choices (Wii Sports, a best game ever candidate, really!?), but overall it’s a solid group of console contenders. Follow the link below if you’re interested in participating.
