So, How Many Trophies Do You Have?

Trophies.jpg

I’ve never been all that big into Achievement hunting on the Xbox 360, but something about the PS3 Trophy system just really grabs me — I suppose the draw is the whole leveling up aspect to it, as much of an RPG nut as I am. Trophies were introduced to the PS3 experience last summer, and while I certainly enjoyed the addition I didn’t invest too much extracurricular time and effort into unlocking Trophies beyond those gathered on my first trip through a game.

That’s all changed now, though. I’m not quite sure why, but over the past couple weeks I’ve been in a serious Trophy hunting mood, pulling out older games from last year (MotorStorm, LBP, BioShock, Mirror’s Edge, Prince of Persia, etc.) to replay for Trophies missing from my collection and sinking far too much time into doing the same with newer games like Legends of WrestleMania, Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection and Killzone 2. I’m also dying for Eidos and Konami to finally patch Trophies into Tomb Raider: Underworld and MGS4, as I’ve been itching for a reason to go back to both of those games.

But anywho… Given my heightened involvement in Trophy hunting I thought it would be fun to share my current status and maybe check in with regular updates on my Trophy hunting conquests from here on out. Monthly or maybe bi-weekly, depending on how things go.

Right now I’m 34% into level 9, sitting on 472 total Trophies from exactly 30 games. I have 3 Platinum Trophies (Uncharted, Legends of WrestleMania and Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection), 25 Golds, 82 Silvers, and 362 Bronzes. I’m really not close to earning any other Platinums at the moment, but Mirror’s Edge is the next one I’m determined to get. Will let you know how that goes next time.

For now, feel free to share any of your proud Trophy accomplishments in the comments. Maybe we can even help each other with Trophy tips!
