The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn’s Quest has already seen a number of delays since being unveiled just prior to last year’s E3. First it was supposed to ship last fall, then it was pushed to this spring, and now it has slipped all the way back to this fall. But there is a specific reason for the delay, and now we know what it is.

Following Sony’s full unveil of the PlayStation Move motion controller last night at GDC, Warner Bros. has announced that a PS3 version of Aragorn’s Quest is now also in the works alongside the DS, PS2, PSP and Wii versions that had already been confirmed.

The Wii still appears to be the lead platform, though, with Headstrong Games focusing solely on its development while TT Fusion works on the other platforms, but the PS3 version is said to have improved graphics (well, duh!) and platform-specific gameplay features. The PS3 version will also share the Wii’s two-player co-op mode enabling a second player to help out Aragorn as Gandalf.
