Of course, as soon as I get done writing out a huge guide list of 3DS facts and features, I stumble upon this video demo of the device summarizing what took me around an hour to research and compile in a shade over five minutes. Doh!

Holy crap you are running wild with the 3DS coverage! Are you planning to get one? Based on my usage of the current model I don’t know if I can justify it personally …
I’ll get one eventually, but like the Kinect I’m still debating whether or not to invest right at launch. It looks great and has a ton of cool features, and as someone who never updated from the DS Lite to the DSi, it is even more attractive.
But in many ways it does seem like it’s really just more of a DSi upgrade than the entirely new platform it’s being pushed as. Maybe once I get a chance to see it in person I’ll feel different, but right now I honestly don’t care one bit about the 3D effect (just as I don’t care about the broad 3D fad across all media).
And the $250 price point is fair for what the device is capable of, but at the same time it’s a lot of money to throw down on something I’m still somewhat iffy about. Which is kind of the same reason I haven’t jumped on the Kinect bandwagon yet but did go ahead and get a PS Move since the entry point was so cheap.
