Think you’re a bad ass when it comes to turning other online players into mutilated, bloody chunks in Soldier of Fortune: Payback? Now’s your chance to prove it!

Activision and GGL (Global Gaming League) have partnered up to put on the Ultimate Mercenary Tournament offering skilled Soldier of Fortune: Payback Xbox 360 mercenaries the chance to battle for a prize pool worth $15,000 in cash and prizes and an all-expense paid trip to New York City. Practice rounds have actually already begun, but the real tournament doesn’t kick off until January 3rd, after which it’ll run until February 3rd when the two finalists from each ladder (single and team play) will then be flown out to NYC for the championship battles tentatively set for February 16-17. The finals will be televised on Voom GamePlay HD too. Head over to SOF.GGL.COM for rules and registration info.
