Advance Wars: Days of Ruin Trailer and Screens

At its media summit late last week, Nintendo finally took the wraps off the next Advance Wars installment for the DS, subtitled Days of Ruin. A full disclosure of features is still to come, but as of now I can tell you that it’ll feature new units, Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection online play with voice chat support, upload functionality built into the game’s map designer tool for sharing your map creations with others, and a variety of subtle gameplay tweaks and balances — oh and it’s scheduled to hit retail on January 21, 2008. As you can see in the following trailer and screenshot gallery, Intelligent Systems has also given the game somewhat of a makeover with character designs and overall art style that have a bit more of a realistic edge.
