Assassin’s Creed: Unity Character Customization and Progression Looks Crazy Good

Part two of the “Assassin’s Creed: Unity Experience” video series provides a detailed look at the deep customization systems that will allow each player to tailor Arno the Assassin’s attire, abilities and weaponry to their own personal style, for single player as well as co-op. The breadth of options for choosing different pieces of gear and developing a skill set across multiple specializations such as melee, ranged and stealth, is pretty damn impressive.

If you’d rather not spend five minutes watching the trailer all the way through, I’ve pulled a selection of screenshots showing merely some of the thousands of potential outfit combinations. Gear won’t just be cosmetic, though, as each type of armor and weapon will influence your Assassin’s play style, for example increasing defense in exchange for lower stealth capability or boosting counter attacking but lowering damage.
