Batman: Arkham Knight DLC Lets You Cruise Around Gotham City Like It’s 1989

I mean that quite literally.

New DLC out today for Batman: Arkham Knight–covered as part of the Season Pass or sold separately for $1.99 a pop–includes the 1989 Movie Batmobile Pack and the Bat-Family Skin Pack.

As the name makes perfectly clear, the 1989 Movie Batmobile Pack lets you hop behind the wheel of the classic Batmobile from Tim Burton’s Batman and put on a new Batsuit skin modeled after the one donned by Michael Keaton. Additionally, the pack includes two racetracks inspired by the 1989 Batman movie and its sequel Batman Returns. The 1989 Batmobile can’t be used in story mode for obvious reasons (i.e. it can’t transform into a tank), but it can be used in free roam once Gotham’s streets have been cleared of Arkham Knight’s drone tanks.

The Bat-Family Skin Pack, on the other hand, offers half a dozen new character costumes from various timelines, including 1990s Catwoman, One Year Later Robin, Arkham Origins Batman, Iconic Grey & Black Batman, 1970s Batman, and the Original Arkham Nightwing.

Looking ahead to the future, Warner Bros. has released the first details regarding Batman: Arkham Knight DLC plans for September. These are the four Season Pass add-ons currently slated for next month:

· Crime Fighter Challenge Pack #1 (Sept. 1): Receive 6 AR challenges for Batman, Nightwing, Robin and Catwoman. This expansive challenge pack allows focused training in Freeflow Combat and Invisible Predator stealth incursion.

· 2008 Tumbler Batmobile Pack (Later in Sept.): Inspired by the 2008 movie ‘The Dark Knight’, intimidate your foes with the Tumbler Batmobile and race through two themed tracks.

· Original Arkham Batman Skin (Later in Sept.): Fight the war against Gotham City with the original Arkham Asylum Batman costume.
