E3 2014: Batman’s Batmobile Apparently Needs a Tune-Up as Arkham Knight is Delayed to 2015

And there goes another AAA new-gen game that was supposed to launch in 2014. They’re dropping like flies.

Joining games like The Witcher 3, The Order: 1886 and Dying Light, Batman: Arkham Knight will now be launching in 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A wholly predictable announcement, but as the game was only revealed a couple months ago it just seems odd that it was even initially planned for this year. Was it all a ploy to drum up early pre-order sales? I hate to be cynical, but it sort of looks that way.

Regardless, the Dark Knight won’t be rising until next year. He will, however, be showing off his drivable mighty morphing Batmobile during E3 next week in a full reveal of the car’s “Battle Mode.” A teaser is available on YouTube if you want to watch it, but rather than hog up space here with an embed (it’s called a teaser for a reason; the trailer shows a whole lot of nothing) I figure you’d rather gawk at a fresh batch of pre-E3 screenshots.
