Become a True Floor General with NBA 2K13 Kinect Voice Command

“Hey Kobe, get your ass off the bench!”

Verbal commands such as this (OK, so those exact words probably won’t work) will be available to Xbox 360 Kinect hoopsters for the first time in NBA 2K13.

Instead of making couch potato ballers get up off their lazy spuds to hoop it up with full-body motion controls that probably wouldn’t work, Visual Concepts has integrated voice recognition into the game to allow for true floor generalship. You’ll be able to call for picks, clear out, run set plays, call players in off the bench, and even shower the coach with Gatorade using simple voice commands.

Study up on the game film to prep your Kinect voice game for the October 2nd NBA 2K13 tip-off. That’s for Xbox 360 in addition to PS3, PSP, Wii and PC, with a Wii U edition following later in the year.
