It’s not often a movie game truly piques my interest, but Activision’s Bee Movie Game based on the DreamWorks Animation film created by Jerry Seinfeld has certainly done so. So when Activision announced earlier today that a demo had been launched up on the Xbox Live Marketplace I began buzzing with excitement to take it for a spin. 445 MBs and a few minutes of downloading later I was into the game’s vibrant world enjoying a gorgeous chase level through the bustling streets of New York City, deftly pressing the proper button or analog stick direction in accordance with the on-screen indications to avoid smashing into traffic and various other hazards. The demo is short and basically feels more like one giant interactive cut scene than actual gameplay, but just watching the beautiful scenery and animations is worth the download alone. Now I’m even more excited to see more of what the full game has to offer when it ships for the Xbox 360, PS2, Wii, PC and DS on October 30th.
