French indie developer Swing Swing Submarine has announced a publishing partnership with Focus Home Interactive to bring its gorgeous platformer Seasons After Fall to PC and currently unspecified consoles.
Seasons After Fall is a 2D platformer about the adventures of an adorable red fox in an enchanting world of fantasy and nature. This vulpine protagonist is special, imbued with the power to command the four seasons at will in order to organically alter the environment. For example calling upon Spring to cause plant life to grow, or summoning Winter to freeze bodies of water.
Sure, it looks absolutely beautiful (please follow my lead and save the images on this page to use for desktop wallpapers), but I am perhaps even more in love with what I’ve heard of the soundtrack, which is being recorded by a live string quartet.
The only bad news is the fact that the game won’t be out until 2016. Watching the new teaser trailer only serves to make that wait feel even more painful.
