BioShock

This summer’s most anticipated game takes one step closer to release. Starting today, you can begin pre-purchasing BioShock for the PC via Steam for $49.95, and pre-load the game to your desktop to have all ready to boot up when the game releases on August 21st. Valve has a countdown clock running over at the Steam web site too, so you can pre-order now and watch the timer tick down on launch day to know the exact moment the world of Rapture is ready to suck you in.

“Over the next six months, gamers will be hit with a barrage of highly-anticipated titles,” said Gabe Newell, president and co-founder of Valve. “The lion’s share of these great new releases will be PC games. And with the gameplay and graphic innovations featured in BioShock, it promises to be one of the most important games released in 2007.”
