Coming up on May 9th, the long-awaited black Wii console will join the standard white system on store shelves in North America. Maybe it’s just me, but gaming consoles always look so much sleeker and sexier in black, and this new Wii is no different.
From May 9th on, Nintendo has also announced that all Wii consoles — black and white — will come bundled with Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort and the woefully underutilized Wii MotionPlus control enhancer. Better yet, the price will remain $200. That’s a fantastic bundle, don’t you agree?
“Nintendo leads the way in delivering rich motion-control gaming experiences at an accessible price point,” said Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime. “By including even more of our top-quality hardware and software in the basic Wii system package, we’re extending that commitment to entertainment and value. Now more than ever, consumers can count on Nintendo to deliver inclusive fun and advanced motion controls at a mass-market price.”
