As if there weren’t enough games being delayed recently already, Midway has revealed that the release for its PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 FPS BlackSite: Area 51 has been pushed back a couple of months. Originally slated to ship in September, BlackSite has been redeployed for a November 5th release in North America, and surprisingly, Europe will actually get the game first on October 26th.
I guess Midway wanted to avoid putting the game up against Halo 3‘s launch (which is a smart move), although with all the huge games coming in November I’m not sure if that time period will do it any better. The Xbox 360 demo that was released not too long ago had some pretty serious framerate problems too, so hopefully the extra time in development will get all that cleaned up.
In other BlackSite: Area 51 news today, we also have this trio of new screenshots to share, maybe they’ll help soften the blow of the delay for you…
