Blackwater Motion Control Boot Camp

505 Games and Zombies Studios, a team specializing in tactical military shooters like America’s Army and Rainbow Six: Covert Ops, have jointly released a new Xbox 360 game this week called Blackwater. It’s billed as the first game to approach full FPS style control using Kinect, and here is a tutorial video showing off the various motion control actions you’ll need to learn before hitting the battlefield. To my eyes I still see a simple light gun shooter with clumsy body movements and sluggish reaction times, but it may be worth a look if you’re tired of mini-games, rump shaking, and other family oriented activities.
