Borderlands 2’s Second Level Cap Increase Coming Soon

Borderlands2

You thought the Borderlands 2 DLC would stop now that the Season Pass expansions have all been released? Think again!

While it doesn’t sound like 2K and Gearbox Software have any more campaigns in the works, there is other add-on content scheduled for release this year into next. The biggie is the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2: Digistruct Peak Challenge, which will bump up the level cap for a second time, from 61 to 72, for all six playable characters. That one will be available soon for $4.99. (Paying for a level cap increase? That’s kinda lame.)

Beginning this fall and carrying over into 2014, Gearbox will also release a series of “uniquely-themed boss fights with additional bonus content.” Each pack will feature a new quest which will end in an epic boss battle. By successfully defeating these DLC bosses, Vault Hunters will earn special loot drops as well as unique head and skin sets for all six characters classes. Specifics regarding how many of these boss fights will be released and how much each one will cost have not yet been announced.

However, new head and skin sets will be available to purchase for $0.99 each. Meh.
