Street Fighter IV hype is now in full swing. Following last night’s platform announcement, Capcom has now informed me that a whole bunch of SFIV sweetness is set to kickoff this Saturday night during CBS’s EliteXC Saturday Night Fights mixed martial arts event at 9-10 PM EST. During the MMA event, a new 60-second trailer will debut and the first 30-second TV spot featuring “a combination of stylized CG animation and game play” will air for the first time. Once the event comes to a close, the redesigned StreetFighter.com (which is nothing but a countdown timer right now) will launch to reveal the new cinematic trailer depicting “a stylized brawl between Street Fighter favorite Guile and new character Abel” and kickoff the GamesStop-exclusive pre-order campaign. By pre-ordering the PS3 or Xbox 360 version of the game, you’ll nab a limited edition Street Fighter Tribute artbook.
So remember, it’s all going down Saturday, May 31st at 9-10 PM EST. Mark your calendars and get ready for one hell of a night.
