Headline news of the week, for some folks at least, was the official unmasking of Call of Duty: Ghosts, which Activision has confirmed will be released November 5th on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 as well as next generation consoles, as they are released. Obviously that means PS4 and whatever the next Xbox is, but it’s unclear if the next-gen tag will also apply to a Wii U edition. (The Wii U is sorta stuck in the middle.)
Infinity Ward’s latest Call of Duty will make its full debut at the ‘Xbox: the Next Generation Revealed’ event coming up on May 21st. I’m sure it’ll be fun to play and packed with explosions and look all nice and shiny on the new hardware, but I can’t work up any degree of excitement for the game just yet. Another year, another Call of Duty, is about all I have to contribute to the discussion at this point. Hopefully I’ll be able to work up a bit more enthusiasm in a few weeks.
