Capcom Launches

The first thing that has and always will stand out about Okami is it’s unbelievably beautiful art design. Simply put, no game can match the elegant, distinctive, eye-popping visual stylings of Capcom’s modern-day gaming classic. As sort of a thank you gesture to all the diehard Okami fans and in anticipation of the forthcoming Wii version — shipping April 15th — Capcom has launched, a new website dedicated to sharing and celebrating the game’s artistic beauty.

Currently, the site has a gallery of thousands upon thousands of original illustrations to thumb through, a stunning collection of wallpapers to download and decorate your desktop with, and even a fan art section for adoring Okami faithful to submit their own artistic compositions for a chance to be showcased (there are some fan art contests coming up too). If flipping through galleries on a web page just isn’t enough, you’ll also find a link to purchase an official Okami art book Capcom has put together with Udon. It’ll be coming out in May for $39.99.
