Capcom Reveals Vergil’s Downfall Post-Launch DLC for DmC – Devil May Cry

Oh Capcom, I love you. You almost seem to enjoy pissing gamers off on purpose. Many folks are already raging out over Ninja Theory’s fresh take on the new Devil May Cry (which I think looks amazing, by the way), and now Capcom goes and stokes the rage of those who despise the company’s approach to downloadable content by already announcing plans for a post-launch DLC add-on.

DmC – Devil May Cry doesn’t hit retail until January 15, 2013, but that’s not stopping Capcom from getting an early jump on Vergil’s Downfall, a downloadable chapter that will feature the untold story of Dante’s twin brother. The add-on will be released shortly after the game’s launch for 720 MS Points/$8.99, but customers who pre-order at GameStop or EB Canada will receive a voucher to download it free of charge. There is high probability it will already be included on the disc, just to piss haters off even more.
