Citizens of Planet Erf, bow down before your new ruler, Admiral Pop, and his son Captain Bubblenaut, the new star of an upcoming “1-touch slide the terrain” arcade-action iPhone game who’s trying to win the love and respect of his father. The good captain of bubbles makes his father proud by bowling over any pesky Erfling that stands in his way. His only Kryptonite is hair, hats, horns, and shields.
Dean Tate, former designer on the first two BioShock games and Dance Central, is out on his own as an independent developer. For his first game, he has assembled a team of indie super friends to help create Captain Bubblenaut, including his co-designer pal Owen Macindoe from the MIT Game Lab as well as some music/sound guys behind the audio in games like Super Meat Boy, Binding of Isaac, and Thirty Flights of Loving.
Watch for Captain Bubblenaut to roll onto the iOS App store by the end of the month.
