Oblivion – VGBlogger.com http://www.vgblogger.com Celebrating geek culture -- Books, Gadgets, Video Games & More! Wed, 14 Jan 2009 19:33:38 +0000 en-US hourly 1 Oblivion PSP Released!? http://www.vgblogger.com/oblivion-psp-released/4273/ http://www.vgblogger.com/oblivion-psp-released/4273/#comments Wed, 14 Jan 2009 14:01:18 +0000 http://www.vgblogger.com/?p=4273 [Update] Just heard back from Pete Hines at Bethesda confirming that the Oblivion PSP release is false, as expected. Also asked if the game has really been canceled or is actually still in the works and couldn’t get an answer either way, so there may still be hope. Who knows…

OblivionPSP.jpg While browsing around the eStarland site a few minutes ago a new game release listing on the home page’s “Just In” menu immediately jumped out at me. According to eStarland, the long-thought-to-be-canceled PSP version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has come out. They have it for sale right now for $45.95!

Now, before you get too excited, I have a feeling this is complete bunk. For one, I can’t find another retailer listing the same thing. And secondly, I think if Oblivion PSP really was shipping this week Bethesda would’ve made some kind of announcement rather than secretly sneaking it out. I’ve reached out to Bethesda for comment on this, though, and will let you know what I find out.

Knights of the Nine Content for Oblivion Now Available http://www.vgblogger.com/knights-of-the-nine-content-for-oblivion-now-available/343/ http://www.vgblogger.com/knights-of-the-nine-content-for-oblivion-now-available/343/#comments Wed, 22 Nov 2006 12:58:42 +0000 http://www.vgblogger.com/?p=343 KotK.jpgAs a pre-Thanksgiving treat to Xbox 360 Oblivion owners, Bethesda and Microsoft have made the content expansion Kights of the Nine available for download via Xbox Live.

This 800 point download will add hours of content to the core game including new dungeons, quests, character, and new items with which to slay evil. From the official Elder Scrolls website:

The Gods have forsaken Tamriel.

A fallen King has been unchained from the darkness of Oblivion to seek vengeance upon the Gods who banished him. Only a champion pure of heart can vanquish the evil that has been released upon the land. You must heed the call, reclaim the lost relics of the Divine Crusader, and return the Nine to glory. New dungeons, characters, quests, and mysteries await.

Those running Oblivion on the PC will be able to download this additional content from Bethesda’s Oblivion Downloads page starting December 4th for about $10.
