Superman Soars Onto Xbox Live Marketplace

Providing a sneak peek at next week’s release of Superman Returns: The Videogame, EA has launched a demo of the 360 version on the Xbox Live Marketplace today. In the demo you can take an early tour of Metropolis’ three Industrial Islands spanning five missions and two chapters, capping off with an epic boss battle against Metallo.

I haven’t played through the whole demo yet, but I picked it up for a few minutes earlier this afternoon and it definitely appears to have shaped up to expectations. Some of the controls felt a bit clunky to me at first, however the game world is massive and simply flying around Metropolis is a joy. Hop onto XBL for the demo and see what you think.

Superman Returns: The Videogame Goes Gold

Catching up on a bit of news I missed in the ol inbox on Friday, EA announced that Superman Returns: The Videogame has gone gold and is set to ship as scheduled on November 20th for the Xbox 360, Xbox, PS2, DS, and GBA (GBA version is actually titled Superman Returns: Fortress of Solitude). A new six-pack of screenshots was also provided with the announcement, which you can now view below.
