This month my Take 5 article involves Massively Multiplayer Online Games. I figured that it would be a perfect topic, considering that Blizzard’s The Burning Crusade expansion hit just a few weeks ago. I tried to cover a wide range of MMOs, from fantasy, to sci-fi, to comic books, to even free in the case of Maple Story.
Anyway, head on over to the Lansing Noise’s home page and check it out. As a special bonus, I’ve posted the mugshot that they currently use as next time it will be one that was taken by the Noise’s professional photographer.
Goodbye goofy head!
]]>The topic of this month’s article is the five most annoying NES games that are in my library. The subject came about after my wife and I got a bit of gaming nostalgia and decided to make a night of drinking a few beers and playing some old NES games. We got out some of her favorites like Battletoads and Mappy Land and quickly wondered what the hell we were doing. Twenty years after the fact, these games weren’t good at all. Actually they were quite annoying and we began to wonder what drew us towards these games in the first place. It obviously wasn’t the graphics, and the games themselves were barely playable due to the horrible controls.
Anyway, I picked five of the worst and wrote a small paragraph about each which you can check out in the article. Are there any games that you purchased back in the day that, looking back on them now, you have no idea why?
]]>Give it a look when you have the chance, and if you live in the Lansing, MI area you can pick up a copy of the Noise almost anywhere you also find the Lansing State Journal. The best part is that the Noise is free, so even you cheapskates can read it!
