Top Videos of the Week – VGBlogger.com http://www.vgblogger.com Celebrating geek culture -- Books, Gadgets, Video Games & More! Mon, 28 Feb 2011 04:09:41 +0000 en-US hourly 1 Top Videos of the Week: 2/21/2011 – 2/27/2011 http://www.vgblogger.com/top-videos-of-the-week-2212011-%e2%80%93-2272011/8835/ Sun, 27 Feb 2011 23:09:41 +0000 http://www.vgblogger.com/?p=8835 This week’s top video list is quite a surprise indeed. In a week with new videos for Skyrim, Dead Space 2, Battlefield 3 and inFamous 2, not a one of those hyped games attracted views above single digits, and others for Killzone 3, Crysis 2, Gears of War 3 and The 3rd Birthday didn’t do much better. To my amazement, the most viewed trailers were for middling games like Rio, Rango, Prototype 2 and the Dreamcast Collection. I suppose folks had already watched those other trailers elsewhere, that’s the only explanation I can come up with!

Top Videos of the Week: 2/14/2011 – 2/20/2011 http://www.vgblogger.com/top-videos-of-the-week-2142011-%e2%80%93-2202011/8760/ Sun, 20 Feb 2011 22:34:03 +0000 http://www.vgblogger.com/?p=8760 The Dead Island re-announcement trailer was by far the Internet sensation of the week, and already it is causing everyone to over hype the game even when the trailer shows absolutely NOTHING about how it actually plays. It’s a stunning trailer — definitely one of the best game trailers I’ve seen. But it is just a trailer, and honestly, I don’t see the game being able to live up to the high bar the trailer sets. Hopefully Techland proves me wrong on that.

Here at VGBlogger, however, the trailer of the week was the epic Marvel vs. Capcom 3 launch trailer, clocking in at nearly 1,500 views. New videos for Bulletstorm, Mortal Kombat, F.E.A.R. 3, Killzone 3, Lord of the Rings: War in the North and NASCAR The Game 2011 got plenty of viewer love too, so you’ll find all of those down below. My personal picks for the week go to the Portal 2 Valentine’s Day trailer, the Tactics Ogre PSP launch trailer and the new Alice: Madness Returns teaser, but sadly none of those made much of an impression.

Top Videos of the Week: 2/9/2011 – 2/13/2011 http://www.vgblogger.com/top-videos-of-the-week-292011-2132011/8678/ Sun, 13 Feb 2011 23:36:42 +0000 http://www.vgblogger.com/?p=8678 This week we changed video services to the ever-popular YouTube to better provide the latest game trailers that flood our inbox on a daily basis, and with it we are now kicking off an accompanying ‘week in review’ recap feature. Every Sunday, we’ll round up our most viewed trailers from the week that was and see what games people seem to be most interested in.

For this inaugural week, new trailers for Homefront and Hunted: The Demon’s Forge pulled the most eyeballs, both tallying over 300 viewers. I didn’t realize those games were that anticipated, so that took me by surprise. Other top draws were gameplay videos for Ridge Racer 3D and the iPhone version of NBA Jam, and other videos for WWE All Stars and Dissidia 012[duodecim] Final Fantasy received fair attention.

Those top-viewed trailers and a few others are embedded below if you missed them before or care to watch them over again. You can also keep track of our daily trailer postings in the right sidebar or by following along on our YouTube channel. Now, kick back and enjoy the show!
