CES 2008: Poker Smash Footage

Though I don’t particularly remember the announcement in great detail, Microsoft unveiled a cool Xbox Live Arcade title known as Poker Smash at last year’s E3. Poker Smash, the debut work of indie developer Void Star Creations, is an action puzzler that marries the rules of poker with traditional block-based puzzle gameplay. And you know what? It looks pretty slick, as you can see in this pair of new trailers that have come out from CES this week. Poker Smash was actually supposed to come out last year I believe, but obviously never did. Still no word on a launch date, but with the release of the new trailers and those screenshots I posted earlier in the week, I’ll take a stab at guessing that it’s coming up sometime soon. We shall see…
