Hey, look! A non-sports game will actually support the Wii MotionPlus, the most wasted Nintendo peripheral since the Power Glove!
Joining the likes of Red Steel 2 — a game that benefited greatly over its predecessor thanks to MotionPlus support — High Voltage’s FPS sequel Conduit 2 too will support the motion-control-enhancing dongle to “create the most responsive control system ever” and improve “edge tracking and transitions to pointer control.” But unlike Red Steel 2, the MotionPlus will not be required to play Conduit 2 when it ships this fall.
“Wii MotionPlus is something that the fans have been asking for since it was announced – we looked at it for the original game, took a look at its implementation in other titles, and ultimately felt that we could add to the experience in Conduit 2 by supporting it.” explains Eric Nofsinger, Chief Creative Officer of High Voltage Software.“It’s by no means required – gamers will have a great experience without it – but it does offer a level of extra control and adds value to those with the accessory.”
