[Update] Quick heads-up for anyone interested in entering our Spectrobes contest. We are extending the contest deadline from today until Sunday, October 12th. That gives you through the weekend to draw up your own Spectrobe and submit it for a chance to win the game and a poster. Hurry and enter before it’s too late!

We are pleased to announce our Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals “Create Your Own Spectrobe” Contest! Disney Interactive Studios is providing us with two copies of the new DS action-RPG sequel and two posters to give away (still awaiting final confirmation on the size, but as of now we’re told they are full-sized 18″x24″ posters).

To enter for your chance to win a game and poster prize pack, we want you to create your very own original Spectrobe creature, give it a name, even write up a bio description of its abilities if you so choose (check out these profiles if you need inspiration). You can draw it on paper and scan it in, PhotoShop it, use MS Paint or any other drawing method you prefer. Once your Spectrobe creation is complete, send it to us in JPEG format via our contest line at contests@vgblogger.com with the subject line “Create a Spectrobe Contest”. Entries will be accepted from October 2nd through Sunday, October 12th. We will judge the submissions, and then on Monday, October 13th we will announce the two grand prize winners, each being awarded a prize pack containing a copy of Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals and a game poster. You must reside in the US to enter and you may only enter once.

Break out your drawing pads, Wacom tablets or whatever you like to draw with and get started. We can’t wait to see the wacky Spectrobe creations you come up with!
