Cooking Mama’s Opening a Nintendo 3DS Sweet Shop this Spring

After a few years off since her last outing, the queen of culinary mini-games is heading back into the kitchen, this time specializing in confectionery treats.

Publisher Rising Star Games has joined up with developer Office Create (aka Cooking Mama Limited) to bring Cooking Mama: Sweet Shop to the Nintendo 3DS. The Sweet Shop will open its doors to gamers with a sweet tooth across North and South America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East beginning in April. It’ll be available via digital download and in a physical retail box.

Cooking Mama: Sweet Shop features 60 sugary recipes cooked by using the stylus and microphone to perform more than 160 mini-games. Completed confections can then be packaged and displayed for sale in Mama’s sweet shop, which will expand as progress is made through the game. Competitive gamers will also be able to engage in head-to-head bakeoffs in a multiplayer mode supporting 2-4 participants. The real Spring Baking Championship is right here, boys and girls!
