Create Your Own 3D Dot Game Hero Right Now

One of the neatest things about 3D Dot Game Heroesreviewed here last week — is its 3D hero creator, and right now, you can get a taste of what the editor can do ahead of the game’s release next month.

SouthPeak Games has updated the European 3D Dot Game Heroes website with a web-based hero creator, and while it isn’t nearly as robust or intuitive as the in-game editor, it serves nicely as a template you can play around with to brainstorm hero ideas for when the full game ships. Once you’re done, you can also save out your hero to a ZIP file containing two 480×480 PNG images, an animated GIF and a wallpaper of specified dimensions. Retro-tastic!
