I haven’t been able to review it yet because my copy didn’t arrive until nearly a month after release and since then I’ve been buried in so many other games to play it through, but from the few hours I have been able to put into it, Vigil Games’ PS3 and Xbox 360 action/adventure Darksiders is one fine game, and I look forward to digging back into it once I’m able to clear away some of my current workload.
Now, more gamers will get a chance to experience this surprise hit, as THQ and Vigil have confirmed that a PC version is being prepped for a summertime launch in June. The full announcement is yet to come, but for now Vigil says it is working to implement key features like user-defined resolutions and control schemes supporting both keyboard & mouse and game pad play styles. Darksiders is definitely a console-centric game, but I think its Zelda-meets-God of War gameplay can work well on a PC as long as it is adapted properly.
