Dawn of Discovery, the latest entry in Sunflowers’ Anno settlement simulation series, has apparently had its ship date pushed back a week at the last minute. The DS, PC and Wii title was first scheduled to ship this week, but per a media alert I received from Ubisoft a few minutes ago the game will now be available on June 25th.
There is good news for PC gamers let down by the brief delay, though. A playable demo of the PC version has been released today containing the campaign’s first two missions and a 60-minute continuous game mode giving players a chance to see many of the technologies, buildings and units offered in the full game. The demo is available at the game’s official website. Maybe it’ll help tide you over until next week.
As soon as the game is in our hands, Mike and I will also be comparing notes on the PC and Wii versions for an upcoming discussion review, so watch out for that.
I love the Anno games – I was introduced by some European friends, and in places like Germany they are popular like Gears of War here …
