Dawn of War II Getting Horde-Like Co-Op Mode

Man, it seems like everyone sure loved Gears of War 2 Horde action, as it seems like every game with multiplayer is now introducing its own spin on Epic’s cooperative survival mode.

The latest game to jump on the Horde bandwagon is actually a bit of a surprise, too. As part of a free upcoming game patch due out in October also set to include two new multiplayer maps and various bug/balance fixes, Relic’s PC RTS Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II will see its multiplayer suite expanded to include The Last Stand, a new co-op mode in which three players team up as one of three hero units — a Space Marine Captain, Eldar Farseer or Ork Mekboy — and fight for survival against wave after wave of enemies. Heroes will also level up and gain access to new weapons and armor as you progress. Sounds fun!
