Dead Block Puts a Rock ‘N Roll Spin on Co-op Zombie Survival

Out on July 6th for Xbox Live Arcade and July 20th for PSN, Dead Block is a new breed of co-op zombie game from Digital Reality and Candygun Games.

In the game, players will choose their role as either Boy Scout Mike Bacon, construction worker Jack Foster, or meter maid Foxy Jones, and proceed to fortify their defenses by blocking windows and laying down all sorts of crazy traps, such as electrocuting microwaves and suntanning beds that instantly age and shrink zombies. Should those pesky brain-eaters break through, players will take them on mano-a-zombieo, using upgradeable weapons like baseball bats, frying pans, sledgehammers and instruments of rock to send the undead back to the grave.

Up to three players will be able to team up via drop-in/drop-out co-op, and fight together to survive the zombie onslaught in what aims to be a campy, lighthearted, rock ‘n roll-charged take on the zombie defense genre.

When Dead Block shambles onto PSN and XBLA next month, it’ll cost $9.99 / 800 MS Points. Who’s ready to rock some zombies?
