Dead Space 3 Delivers Thrills, Chills and Co-Op Necromorph Hunting February 2013

DeadSpace3

When it launches in February of next year on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 (I’m surprised a Wii U version wasn’t announced, but perhaps that’s on hold as a Nintendo press conference surprise), Dead Space 3 will transport players to the frozen planet of Tau Volantis. It may be ice-cold and snowing like crazy, but those nasty Necromorphs are still thirsty for Isaac Clarke’s blood.

In addition to the new setting, which of course will be populated by new enemies, bosses and environmental challenges, Dead Space 3 will feature a drop-in/drop-out co-op campaign that will allow a second player to pick up a plasma cutter and join the fight as Earthgov Sergeant John Carver. Playing in co-op is said to introduce expanded story development and gameplay mechanics that won’t be seen when playing solo, but nothing specific has yet to be announced.
