Dead Space Extraction, the on-rails Wii installment in EA’s new action/horror franchise, now has a ship date. The game is scheduled for North American release on September 29th, with a European launch set for October 2nd.

“Our team is really excited to bring the intensity of the Dead Space universe to an entire new audience,” said Executive Producer, Steve Papoutsis. “We are going to deliver the same high quality, cinematic experience we delivered in the original Dead Space, while also adding co-op, new enemies, weapons and taking advantage of all of the unique features the Wii has to offer.”

With Dead Space Extraction, EA and Visceral Games are promising to up the ante for “technical excellence on the Wii” and produce “some of the best visuals ever showcased on the platform.” Going by this new E3 trailer, they seem to be living up to those claims.
