YouTube has some footage of SSX Blur for the Wii which debuted on Spike TV. Check it out below. Honestly the game doesn’t look much different from the iterations that have come out for the previous generation systems. Also, I think I’ve finally realized what gets me annoyed at many of these trailers for games on the Wii. While it’s nice to see what the game will look like, I’m more interested in how players interact with it. Nintendo’s biggest selling point is the innovative controller and I don’t know why more previews don’t show you what to expect. That would get me more excited for a title than just a 40 second clip of gameplay footage.

YES! NEW SSX TIME! Hopefully, it’s not gay like SSX on Tour was, cause I really didn’t like that one. They need to go back to the big mountain feel of SSX3, because that really felt much more natural. Plus, I owned on it like no other (full Platinums, and consistent on getting them in repeat attempts).
And I agree with you on the previews for Wii games. The way to use the controller, honestly, is much cooler than the gameplay footage. I think that’s what got me so hyped in the first place, watching the people in the previews getting really into it. Maybe they should take a lesson from Dragonforce’s videos, when the guitar solos hit and the picture-in-picture kicks in.
Nonetheless, I’ll be playing this regardless, and I like the name of the entry….SSX Blur!
