Yep, the co-op missions can be played offline in split-screen, although the viewing space is kinda limited. It also looks like progress from your online profile is seperate from playing offline.

I’m excited to play the game, but at the same time I’m sorta glad I haven’t rushed out to buy a copy since pretty much every review I’ve read has stated that the game isn’t as good in several aspects to the previous title.
