And yep, that battle chatter is something the Star Ocean (and Tales games too actually lol) have always had. I’m used to it at this point having played so many of these games, but it’s definitely annoying at first.

I’m playing Star Ocean on the PSP right now, and it also has a real-time arena style combat system. But this one, in my opinion, works *much* better. You have enough room to actually use the tactics you can assign everyone. If they would just all shut up with the ‘combat taunts’ … my wife calls it the most annoying game she has ever heard …
