The Dragon Ball Z franchise has officially made the “next-gen” leap today with Atari announcing the development of Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit for PS3 and Xbox 360 for a yet-to-be-announced release date sometime this year. Namco Bandai Games is heading development on Burst Limit, promising to revolutionize the series with “fierce online battles” and “radical 3D graphic effects” that “blur the line between video game and [the] iconic anime series.” It sure is looking pretty snazzy from the first three screenshots that have come out (gallery below), no doubt about that. “Atari is excited and ready to offer fans the next iteration of the Dragon Ball Z video game series on the next-gen consoles,” said Donny Clay, Producer, Atari, Inc. “With explosive cinematic graphics and online gameplay, fans of the series and of the fighting genre will surely enjoy Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit.”
