One of the very few knocks against Vanillaware’s fantasy beat ’em up masterpiece, Dragon’s Crown, has been the lack of cross-play functionality. PS3 gamers can play online with other PS3 gamers and Vita gamers can play online with other Vita gamers, but why can’t all members of the PlayStation family play together?
Soon, that will no longer be a problem as Atlus has confirmed a patch for Japan and North America which will finally implement cross-platform cooperative play. Heroes of PlayStation Nation, unite!
Now couldn’t be a better time to see what the Dragon’s Crown sleeper-hit buzz is all about. In addition to the impending cross-play update, the game is currently running a $10 discount at retailers and for the digital version from the PlayStation Store, bringing the PS3 version down to $40 and the Vita version down to just $30. Act fast, as this deal is only good until October 15th.
