Sony’s E3 press conference wasn’t a disappointment for a lack of great games, it was disappointing because barely any time was spent actually providing detailed info and live demos for said great games. Instead, the presentation became nothing more than a steady stream of montages and it just felt stale until the very end. Now I love a good montage, and Sony’s were indeed exceptional, but for an event as important as an E3 press conference I expected more.
But now it doesn’t really matter. Time for analyzing the Big Three’s press conferences is over and we can just sit back and savor the mass of blockbuster games this year’s E3 had to offer and begin looking forward to playing many of them this holiday season and beyond. Like these five montages from the Sony presser showcasing the packed lineup of games coming to the PlayStation platforms. They were boring during the show, mainly because I wanted to see more time spent showing off individual games, but kicking back and watching them now makes me appreciate just how many spectacular titles the PS3, PSP, PSN and PS2 have on the way.
