[E3 2008] WWE Legends of WrestleMania Debut Trailer Brings Back Fond Memories

Professional wrestling was a huge part of my youth. You know, back in the day when the WWE was the WWF and wrestling was actually about wrestling, not phony baloney soap opera bullshit often relying on blatant sexual innuendo like nowadays. Sure, it was still “fake”, but there was an art and drama to it that today’s wrestling generation can’t hold a candle to. WrestleMania III in particular is a sporting event I’ll simply never forget. Still to this day, Ricky Steamboat and Randy Savage’s Intercontinental Championship bout is the purest technical wrestling match ever, and on sheer drama alone the epic showdown between Hulk Hogan and friend-turned-rival André the Giant has to be the most significant moment in WWE history.

Ah… those were the days, and I have this debut trailer for THQ’s WWE Legends of WrestleMania to thank for brining back such fond memories and filling an old-school wrestling fan’s heart with nostalgic joy.
