[E3 2009] Alan Wake Returns

Other than Splinter Cell: Conviction, the return of Remedy Entertainment’s Xbox 360 (and PC) horror game Alan Wake was about the only other game that really wowed me during Microsoft’s E3 presser. The game clearly appears to be sticking close to the psychological horror formula made popular by franchises like Silent Hill and Alone in the Dark, but the mood and atmosphere and emphasis on using light as a weapon is all extremely spooky and extremely cool. And for once in the horror genre, combat actually looks fun and intense! Take a look.
