[E3 2009] Red Steel 2 Shaping Up Real Nice

Ubisoft’s sequel to its much-maligned Wii FPS Red Steel appears to be on the right track to making up for the first game’s shortcomings. The Wii MotionPlus, which will be required to play the game, should be the perfect remedy to the original’s clumsy, imprecise sword mechanics, and the new comic-style art direction is a thing of beauty. My only concern at the moment is the glaring lack of blood. I’m no gore fiend, but it just looks weird to see such violent sword kills with absolutely no blood spewing out.

Blood-free trailer, demo video and screenshots await your viewing on the jump.
