[E3 2010] Xbox 360 Kinect Trailer Theater

I know I haven’t covered Microsoft’s newfangled motion control camera much since it was renamed Kinect at E3, so I wanted to make up for that by compiling every Kinect game trailer I could find. A few titles are missing, but for the most part these are the games you have to look forward to when Kinect launches on November 4th.

Child of Eden is the only game that really strikes my fancy, and that’s mainly because the motion controls are optional and it’s a spiritual sequel to Rez. Dance Central and Kinectimals are also highly impressive in terms of technical capabilities, but everything else looks like re-branded Wii / EyeToy casual game tripe. The technology is intriguing, but I need to see more core-gamer applications like the Wii and PlayStation Move have before I consider Kinect anything more than a gimmick.

What are your thoughts on Kinect? Any games stand out?
